On the weekend of the 1-2 March, the Wimbledon (Edge Hill) Explorer Scout Unit staged their annual "Pantomime Ball". This year's performance, written by the "Bano Brothers" and directed by Chris Griffin was an interpretation of age old story of Peter Pan and his escapades in Neverland. Both the Saturday night performance (including meal and dancing to live music) and the matinee performance on Sunday were a roaring succcess and helped contibute significantly to fundraising for the Unit's 2008 summer expedition to Ethiopia. Thanks to all those who came and gave their support and contributed to the success of the weekend!

The Unit's expedition is to the town of Lalibela in Ethiopia. It's specific aims are to construct a Library addition to the government secondary school, construct V.I.P. latrines in the town, help with local sanitation and reduce water contamination and generally work with and support the local community with education and recreational activities.
