St George's Day Parade & Service

Kings College School, Wimbledon
General Arrangements
Assembly & Parade
The District Beavers, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Leaders will assemble by the Wimbledon War Memorial at 10.00am
Under the direction of David Gould (ADC General Duties) the parade will form up on the common land opposite the memorial.
The parade will be in Groups; with Beavers at the front of each Group followed by Cubs and Scouts. Flags will be paraded in front of each section.
The parade will be in lines of three abreast with Leaders and Adult Helpers on the outside of the three.
The Parade will be led by the Band of the Wallington Scout District together with members of our own Band
The parade will move off at 10.20 and march to Kings College school hall along Southside Common.
Service
On entering the school grounds all flag bearers will form up separately as directed
Scout Network and Scout Fellowship members working together will act as stewards and direct the entry and seating in the School Hall under the direction of Keith Daly ADC General Duties
The Service will commence at 11.00 am and will be conducted by young people of the District under the leadership of the DC
The Mayor of the London Borough of Merton will be in attendance
Flags will enter the hall as directed by stewards during the first song.
A collection will be taken for a nominated charity
At the end of the service the stewards will direct the exit of the hall. Groups will form up in the grounds of the College for dismissal by the DC.
The dismissal should be at approx 11.40
Notes
Scout Network and Fellowship members are to re-organise the chairs in the hall as required by the College following the service.
Full, smart and current uniform is required
Awards will be worn.
Young people involved with the running of the Service are to be at the School Hall at 10.00 for a short rehearsal.
