About the Event

As we consider our return to face to face scouting, we are offering a short webinar for Groups and Units to assist you with any Covid-19 related first aid issues you might face.

This webinar is intended for those managers, leaders and section assistants in your team who might be called upon to undertake first aid for adults or young people when we are face to face scouting under current restrictions.

This will help your Group/Unit better assess first aid needs and take any precautions required when treating a first aid incident.

We have now provided you with PPE to enable this to be done safely. This is the training to keep you safe !

What we would like you as GSLs/ESLs/nominated contacts to consider is who should take part in this webinar. They need to:

  1. Have an up to date first aid qualification (preferably undertaken through one of the courses we run in district but other qualified adults can do this as well). If a first aid certificate HAS expired the participant needs to undertake a course this year. Places are available on district run courses in September and October. This is top up training not a full first aid course.
  2. Be prepared to act as a first aider in such circumstances. As we respect that some adults will not wish to do this.

Ideally one person per section should attend this webinar.

Those who attend will be credited as having done so for audit purposes.

Please could you consider who should attend and ask them to register for one of the webinars?

Participants only need to register for one webinar. But pre booking is essential.
