NOTICE is given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of Wimbledon and Wandle Scout Council will be held on Friday 1st September 2023 at 19:30pm


Venue 1st Lower Morden Scout Hall. Bow Lane Scout Centre, Lower Morden Lane, Morden SM4 4SJ.


The meeting will also be available as a broadcast on zoom.

1) Minutes of the AGM for approval

2) Matters arising

3 ) Ratification of a new constitution

4) Determining Quorum following approval of the Constitution

5) Election of Chair as nominated by the DC’s

6) Election of Treasurer

7) Election of Hon Secretary

8) Election of Trustees

Abdul M – Current member of the Executive

Sarah Jane A –  SJ is the SL at the 5th Morden and was part of the District ‘return from lockdown’ risk assessment committee. She is a medical professional based at St George’s Hospital University

David W – David is SL at 1st Lower Morden and ESL at Sharks ESU. He is a solicitor specialising in properties including conveyancing and leases.

Ashley C – Ashley is Group Chair at the 13th Wimbledon. A Chartered Accountant, he deals with Boards of Trustees and matters of governance at a professional level on a day to day basis.

Sophie P – Sophie works for the Local Government Association as a Senior Regional Adviser for the South East. For 5 years she was a school governor at St John Fisher primary in Raynes Park.  Currently Sophie is a Section Assistant with the troop at 5th Morden. Both of her children have been involved in scouting in the district. Her daughter Lara is a scout.

Any further nominations are required to be notified to the chair 14 days before the meeting with a proposer and seconder.

9) District Commissioner Nominations

Neil Mc – Deputy District Commissioner and Current Member of the Executive

Maria M –Maria has been involved with scouting for roughly 23 years since her son joined as a Beaver. Initially she joined the executive committee of 22nd Wimbledon as secretary before switching to become Beaver Leader.  Outside of scouting she is a conveyancing assistant for a law firm in Walton on Thames

Tim K – ADC Scouts
