Wimbledon and Wandle District Store Manager required.

Role description
The Store Manager is responsible for the District Scout Store which sells uniforms etc to members of the public and Leaders at discounted prices.
The Store is open on Thursday evenings during term time between 19.45 and 21.00 in the District Headquarters (DHQ) in Morden Road, Mitcham and operates alongside the Badge Secretary who sells badges to Leaders.
The Store maintains a stock of uniforms for young people and Leaders in a dedicated room at DHQ.
Duties:
To sell uniform and associated items to parents and Leaders. This involves writing manual invoices and accepting payment in cash or by card. Some transactions are made by bank transfer.
To place regular orders online to the wholesale branch of Scout Headquarters Scout Store in order to maintain stock levels.
To receive and check the orders and to transport them to DHQ. To sort out any discrepancies (very rare).
Maintain basic income and expenditure accounts which are incorporated into the main District accounts at year end.
Undertake an annual stock take.
Responsible to: the District Board of Trustees.
You will receive a log-on to the wholesale branch of the Scout Store website based in Lancing. Orders placed before Monday morning are usually received by Thursday.
You will also get a bank card for the CAF account which is shared with the badge secretary and is only used for placing orders with Scout Store.
Full training and support is available.
You do not have to be a member of The Scouts but will be expected to accept its Values and Aims and to have a Scout DBS. References may be required

We are in need of adult volunteers in our groups and sections across the district, if you have a few hours to spare then please get in touch with us.
If you would like to volunteer but not work directly with our youth members then that is not a problem. We have lots of different roles available including Events planning, Fundraising, Book keeping/Treasurer roles, Tea making etc, what ever your skill may be we can find a role for you!
